ABOUT FERONIA IT

I founded Feronia IT because I have been using GNU/Linux for well over a decade now and I believe it is ready to provide businesses a superior working platform. My faith in it is now solid enough that I am pleased to be in a position to offer guidance and support to businesses in the south-east who wish to benefit from the open source world and avoid its pitfalls. I have successfully used open source software for media work including Video editing, graphic design, programming and office tasks. I know for a fact many businesses are tied in to paying for software licenses they do not need while the software they are using has features that are duplicated in the open source world free of charge. I understand that adopting a new technology is daunting, and any change incurs a cost of time taken to learn how to do once familiar tasks in a new system.

It is with all this in mind that I have built Feronia IT, I believe that once a few fundamental concepts are understood anybody can use Linux based operating systems to their advantage. I believe that by offering consultation, installation and setup, training and technical support services Feronia IT can offer a holistic IT service that will enable your business to take confident steps with your IT systems. Recent successes with systems I have built plus the adoption of this software by some major entities have prompted me to start aiding business owners locally so that they can experience the freedom in computing that I do. I have built a decade of experience in this sphere on top of my engineering background and while open source has always been an option for someone fitting those criteria I now feel it has come of age and is for everyone. I want to focus on helping businesses adopt open source seamlessly as I know that they need their computers to simply work.
